Jay Lopez serves as Director of Business Development at ESI Healthcare Business Solutions (ESI), bringing decades of entrepreneurial leadership and operational expertise to the company. He previously served as President and CEO of Estill Medical Technologies, Inc., guiding the growth of its acclaimed Thermal Angel Blood and IV Fluid Infusion Warmer—a medical device recognized as "Outstanding Military Product of the Year" and instrumental in reducing fluid-induced hypothermia for U.S. military personnel, hospitals, and emergency responders globally.
Jay is also a Partner at Bonaventure Equity, LLC (BVE), an innovative health sciences venture capital firm dedicated to cannabinoid and psychedelic medical discoveries. Through BVE, Jay actively invests in and advises cutting-edge companies including FloraWorks (rare cannabinoids), Sensorium Therapeutics (psychoactive medicines), Nalu Bio (synthetic cannabinoids), tCheck (potency testing devices), LeafWorks (genetic cannabis testing), and Psilera (psychedelic biotech).
He serves on the Advisory Boards of Pebble Life Science (oncology biologics) and AquiFlow (hemp fiber innovation), and is actively involved as an advisor to companies such as Dianima (AI-powered healthcare visits), and AIM7 (AI fitness coaching).
Jay's diverse entrepreneurial experience includes serving 10 years as Chief Operating Officer of LJBB Investment Group, LP, directing investments across food and beverage (Smoothie King – the Lopez family franchise became the largest in the country), healthcare (Mediclaim, Enrollment Services), sportswear (Invincible Sportswear), and technology (DigitalConvergence, Critical Devices).
Jay earned his Bachelor's degree in Economics from Stanford University and an MBA from Washington University's Olin School of Business. His industry recognition includes awards from Dallas Business Journal's Tech Titans Fast 50 (medical innovation), Fast Tech Top 35 (growth recognition), and Dallas 100 Fastest Growing Companies (private business success). He is a committed member of both Business Executives for National Security (BENS) and the American Security Project (ASP).
