Leo Lopez, MHA
Chairman and CEO
Leo Lopez has served as Chairman of Board and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ESI Healthcare Business Solutions (ESI) since founding the company in 1989 and is responsible for the vision and strategy of the company. He is an entrepreneur with a track record of building successful healthcare organizations, including ESI Healthcare Business Solutions and its predecessor companies including MediClaim, MediCall, Enrollment Services Inc., and Estill Medical Technologies.
Mr. Lopez has been a pioneer for patient eligibility advocacy programs and formed Enrollments Services Inc. in 1989. As one of the first Medicaid enrollment agencies in Texas, Enrollment Service Inc. successfully enrolled over 1.5 million patients in various third-party eligibility programs.
He has held executive positions including Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions, Stanford University Medical Center, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and University Hospital (UMDNJ). Additionally, he was an investment banker with Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette (DLJ). Leo graduated with a BS and MHA from Washington University in St. Louis.
Brandon Lopez, MBA
President and Chief Operating Officer
Brandon Lopez leads the ESI Healthcare Business Solutions (ESI) team as the President and Chief Operating Officer (COO). He is responsible for making all day-to-day operation and financial decisions, while developing the path for ESI’s next generation data analytic technology and services. Brandon is also a Co-Owner of Estill Medical Technologies, the developer of the Thermal Angel Blood and IV Fluid Infusion Warming system. Thermal Angel is a standard of care within the United States Department of Defense (DOD), Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and national Hospital systems.
Outside of Brandon’s 25 years of owning and operating healthcare companies, he is an active venture capitalist serving as Chairman and CEO of Lopez Capital Group Inc. and managing partner of LJBB Investment Group. His portfolio of companies included Smoothie King (master franchisee for all stores located in Dallas), ViB Beverages, Critical Devices, Digital Convergence and Invincible Sportwear.
Brandon serves as an Advisor to Bonaventure Equity LLC, a Cannabis Venture Capital fund committed to “Invest, Engage and Inform” the next generation of innovative cannabis companies. He is also a Co-Founder and Advisor to World Back To Work (WBTW), a mission-based company providing Return-to-Work and Stay-at-Work solutions for the COVID and post-COVID era.
He earned an MBA in Finance from Texas Christian University (TCU) and a B.A in Marketing from Southern Methodist University (SMU). As a former NCAA Division I football athlete, Brandon enjoys keeping fit with activities involving his 5 pets.
Nicole Wallace, PharmD, MBA
Vice President of Business Operations
Dr. Nicole Wallace is passionate about patient care, health and wellness. She leads the clinical team, focusing on the expansion of clinical services for ESI Healthcare Business Solutions (ESI) to hospitals, clinics, provider groups, and health care systems ensuring business, operational, and clinical success as the Vice President of Business Operations.
Nicole is a licensed pharmacist with extensive clinical and managerial experience. Prior to joining ESI, Nicole established leadership throughout both retail and hospital healthcare environments holding positions such as Director of Operations, Director of Pharmacy, Division Pharmacy Manager, and Pharmacist in Charge. Nicole received her Doctor of Pharmacy from Purdue University and her Executive Master of Science in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington.
During her spare time, Nicole enjoys going to festivals, coaching soccer and being a mom.
Jay Lopez, MBA
Director of Business Development
Jay Lopez serves as the Director of Business Development for ESI Healthcare Business Solutions (ESI). Jay also serves as President and CEO of Estill Medical Technologies, Inc., where he manages the expansion of the Thermal Angel Blood and IV Fluid Infusion Warmer product line.
As well, Jay is the Chief Marketing Officer of SunToWater Technologies, LLC, and Co-Founder of World Back to Work. Jay serves as an advisor to R-Water, Bonaventure Equity and Pegmatis.
Jay earned his Bachelor’s degree from Stanford University and a MBA from Washington University in St. Louis. He is currently a member of Business Executives for National Security (BENS) and American Security Project (ASP).
Director of Information Technology
Since 2009, Thomas Yates has been an integral part of the IT team for ESI Healthcare Business Solutions (ESI) with his latest position serving as the Director of Information Technology. Thomas manages the IT division, oversees the Rapid Agile Integrated Development (RAID) team as well as focuses on security software development, product management and infrastructure management.
For over 20 years, Thomas has experienced many aspects of IT ranging from hardware and networking to software development. He is responsible for seeking and implementing new technologies and product offerings for ESI to remain competitive throughout the healthcare industry.
He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Network and Communications Management from DeVry University. Thomas is also a member of the Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society and an Aerohive Certified Wireless Professional. During his free time, Thomas enjoys gaming, photography and traveling.
Narasimha Kollarapu, MSCS
Senior Software Developer
Narasimha Kollarapu is an experienced IT designer, developer, and coder. He leads the Rapid Agile Integrated Development (RAID) team at ESI Healthcare Business Solutions (ESI) as the Senior Software Developer. Mr. Kollarapu is responsible for architectural design, development and deployment of all ESI product services, along with various web, windows and database applications.
Prior to joining ESI Healthcare Business Solutions, Mr. Kollarapu served as a lead developer at Newgistics, Inc. Nara has over 15 years of diverse knowledge of various industries where he previously worked for Emerson Process Management, WMS Gaming (Scientific Games), Fidelity National Real Estate Solutions (Black Knight Financial Services), Spectrum Health, and Towson University.
Mr. Kollarapu earned his Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Towson University, Maryland and Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science from Visvesvaraya Technological University, India. In his spare time, Nara enjoys spending time with his family.
Senior Director of Payment Solutions
Holly Boyter serves as Senior Director of Payment Solutions for ESI Healthcare Business Solutions (ESI). Her primary role is to manage the Contract Administration Payment Solutions (CAPS) program and contracting support team, which serves as a liaison between the hospital entity and the corresponding medical school facility and/or physician group responsible for the clinical care component. Ms. Boyter manages a wide variety of customized, client-specific contracts, establishes business rules and payment methodologies.
Ms. Boyter joined ESI in 2018 with over ten years of previous experience in TPA operations in eligibility, claims processing, COBRA Administration, HIPAA compliance, and customer service.
In her spare time, Holly enjoys spending time with her family and crafting beautiful quilts.
Dir. of Human Resources & Corp. Office Manager
Since 2006, Toni Hill has been responsible for cultivating company culture and helping to foster teamwork in a collaborative environment serving as the Director of HR and Corporate Office Manager for ESI Healthcare Business Solutions (ESI). She manages the human resource division, assists in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures; manages and oversees the administration of HR policies, programs and practices within the organization; and maintains accounts payable, receivables and monthly billing.
Toni brings over 15 years of experience in Healthcare administration with top-level/C-suite executives. Prior to joining ESI, Toni held numerous positions within the Healthcare sector in leadership roles, office coordination and executive administration.
Toni is a native of Dallas, Texas. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and exploring the beautiful beaches of the southeast.
As Corporate Controller at ESI Healthcare Business Solutions, David Newby is responsible for directing the accounts payable and receivable teams as well as financial, planning and accounting practices. His focus includes driving profitability and operational efficiencies as well as a strong role in strategy development. Mr. Newby is also Controller and Director of Supply Chain for Estill Medical Technologies, Inc. Mr. Newby’s background includes management, accounting, inventory and business systems control.
Prior to his tenure with the Company, he spent 15 years as a general life and health insurance agent, an agency owner of Assurity First Group and General Partner of Pro-Tech Agency where he was the Director of Operations and Finance. Before those positions, he was with Greenfield Sales Company, a multi-state automotive parts wholesale distributor. There he served as Director of Operations, Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President.
Mr. Newby earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Management from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas and he also holds a Group I, HMO and Property and Casualty Insurance License. Mr. Newby enjoys spending time with his family and TCU sports.
